Literacy is a priority in most schools. How can teachers make literacy fun? Use flickr! A lesson that I found on the internet asked students to use pictures from flickr as a writing prompt. Flickr can be public or private. I think this is an important feature in order to keep students safe. I'll be honest I am not totally sold on flickr. I think there are many other ways to present photo writing prompts without asking students to have an online account. I don't think that I will use flickr in my classroom however my last blog discussed voicethread and I stand by this as a superior tool for class discussion.

I would have liked to have more details as to why you would not use it. When you speak specifically and support your stand, you help others to see things they may not see from their perspective.
